Superheroes and mortals mix it up
Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company is a store that offers critical supplies like Mind Control Spray, Cloning Fluid, and Energy Neutralizing Particle Guns to Superheroes.
It also happens to be a front for 826NYC, an organization that provides free drop-in tutoring, after-school workshops, in-schools tutoring, help for English language learners, and assistance with student publications.
Working with a core team from Mark's Killer Work course at New York's School of Visual Arts, we developed a campaign to extend the Brooklyn Superhero Supply Company experience beyond the store's walls. The goal was to promote and garner support for the organization within the community and to drive traffic to the store.
To do so, we imagined what the everyday needs and desires of Superheroes might be. In this alternate reality, companies pitched their products and services to Superheroes and Superheroes sold their otherworldly services to mortals.
